Aly Good RYT is an Irish born yogini who teaches Hatha Yoga, Sanskrit Mantra, Pranayama and Meditation privately in peoples homes or offices and in workshops. Her classes are both deeply therapeutic, rejuvenating and centering.
Good enjoys working with people who feel that need for private therapeutic work. Whether physical issues or emotional, Aly works with people to help them bring their lives into balance. Finding that joy of ease in their body and peace of mind.
Aly was first introduced to yoga at the age of 19 in 1986 in New York City and begun her path with Meditation, Asana, Mantra and Pranayama. Delving inward, during the following 27 years, Good has explored many different paths and has studied with several learned yogis and spiritual teachers.
Such as: Sharon Gannon and David Life of Jivamukti and Sri Dharma Mittra, Silent Meditation with Amma Meera, Taoism Meditation with Master Mantak Chia, Kundalini Yoga with Guru Singh, Kriya Yoga with Shibendu Lahiri – Great grandson of Lahiri Mahasaya, Power Yoga with Bryan Kest, Meditation and Kirtan with Gurumayi Chidvilasananda from the Siddha tradition of Kashmir Shaivism.
Good fully immersed herself more deeply in the Indian Ashram life, studying Vedic Chants and Pujas, Kirtan, Japa, Meditation, Seva and Yoga Asana in 2000-2001.
In 2002-2007, Aly created her own studio in Connecticut, teaching empowerment workshops individually and in groups to women and teen girls focusing on presentation, empowerment, relaxation, meditation and yoga.
After great success in Fairfield County, CT, and completing her yoga teacher certification in 2007, a deeper call to go into retreat came and Aly moved to New Mexico where she went into a life of more meditation for 3 1/2 years.
As a student of Sanskrit Mantra for many years, Aly also began studying more deeply Sanskrit Mantra with Thomas Ashley-Farrand in 2010. In 2011, Aly began studying Vajrayana Tibetan Buddhism with Lama Michael Conklin of the Karma and Shangpa Kagyu tradition.
Teaching in Portland, Aly is very grateful to all her teachers past and present as she shares the wisdom they passed down to her, with her own students. She strives to teach from the perpective of all the wisdom she has been taught, from the many different traditions she has immersed herself in, and tailor them to her students needs.
Aly is committed to helping her students flourish within their yoga practice and supporting them on their spiritual journey.
